GUANGZHOU, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Two-time winners Guangzhou Evergrande scored an easy victory over Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima 2-0 in Group F of the AFC Champions League here on Tuesday.
Anderson Talisca headed Yu Hanchao's cross home in the 19th minute to gift Evergrande an early lead.
Only seven minutes later, Huang Bowen's corner from the left was flicked on by Yu Hanchao before Paulinho knocked it in with his chest. Guangzhou enjoyed a comfortable lead in the first half.
The second half saw Sanfrecce create a handful of chances to threaten the home side. But Guangzhou keeper Zeng Cheng denied all their efforts including two critical saves in the 80th and 83rd minuets.
"I am not satisfied with the second half," said Evergrande coach Fabio Cannavaro.
"Not because we couldn't score more goals, but the game control was totally different with my pre-match plan," the Italian added.
In the other match of Group F, South Korean side Daegu FC earned an away win over Melbourne Victory 3-1 from Australia.
