FRANKFURT, July 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 20.29 points, or 0.16 percent, to close at 12,561.02 points.
Deutsche Bank won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 7.74 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and Commerzbank rose by 1.35 percent and 1.14 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen lost the most among the blue chips, falling 1.14 percent. Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and tire specialist Continental went down both by 1.04 percent.
Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share with a turnover of 447.87 million euros (524.90 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
