SINGAPORE, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.91 percent, or 29.76 points, to close at 3,238.94.
A total of 790.4 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 827.1 million Singapore dollars (604.9 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 274 to 122.
The STI index closed up 0.34 percent or 11.13 points to close at 3268.7 last Friday. Enditem
