SINGAPORE, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.6 percent or 20.79 points to close at 3,462.37.
A total of 1.57 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.26 billion Singapore dollars (about 948.6 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 232 to 173.
The STI index closed up 0.45 percent or 15.68 points to close at 3,483.16 Tuesday. Enditem
