Chinese shares close lower at midday

BEIJING, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed lower in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 4.11 percent to end at 3,127.92 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 3 percent to end at 10,061.68 points.
