China welcomes EU's move to end WTO case against China

BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce on Thursday described the European Union's (EU's) decision to end a case against China at the World Trade Organization (WTO) as "a right choice."

The ministry said China believed that the EU's initiation of the case lacked evidence, therefore the EU's decision to drop the case is the right move.

China has always strictly abided by WTO rules and will continue to uphold the rules-based multilateral trading system through concrete actions, the ministry said. ■
