DUSHANBE, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries grew by 2.2 percent year on year in the January-September period of 2025, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee said Thursday.
According to the committee, most CIS countries maintained positive economic growth dynamics. Kyrgyzstan recorded the fastest growth, with GDP expanding by 10 percent. Tajikistan's economy expanded 8.2 percent, and Uzbekistan's grew 7.6 percent.
The committee added that industrial output, agricultural production and retail trade continued to grow during the period. Overall industrial production in the CIS increased by 1.4 percent, agricultural output rose by 2.4 percent, and retail trade turnover expanded by 3.3 percent. ■
