BEIRUT, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army warned Thursday that it would soon bomb buildings in the southern Lebanese towns of Jbaa and Mahrouna, urging residents to evacuate.
Israeli forces stated they "will soon strike Hezbollah military infrastructure across southern Lebanon to counter the group's prohibited efforts to rebuild activities in the area," said Israel Defense Forces Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee on X.
He urged residents of the buildings marked in red on attached maps, as well as neighboring structures, to evacuate immediately and move at least 300 meters away.
Despite a ceasefire that took effect on Nov. 27, 2024, Israel has carried out near-daily strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, including several attacks in Beirut, citing threats from Hezbollah. ■
