NANJING, China, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 Archery World Cup Final concluded on Sunday in Nanjing, with all four events decided. Türkiye's Emircan Haney and Mexico's Mariana Bernal won the men's and women's compound titles, while the recurve crowns went to the United States' Brady Ellison and South Korea's An San.
A surprise shoot-off decided the women's recurve final. An secured the title with a final arrow scoring eight, enough to surpass Chinese Taipei's Hsu Hsin-tzu's seven. During the fifth set, An initially believed her 15th arrow had landed her sixth 10-ring of the match, ending the set with 28 points and a 6-4 lead. However, the judge ruled the arrow had not touched the left 10-ring line, adjusting the score to 9, 9, 9 and leveling the match at 5-5. An's subsequent eight drew gasps from the crowd, but with Hsu scoring seven, An ultimately triumphed.
American veteran Ellison delivered an assured performance in the men's recurve final, defeating Brazil's Marcus D'Almeida 6-4 to claim his sixth World Cup Final title.
The men's compound title went to Türkiye's Haney, who edged Denmark's Mathias Fullerton 149-148. The women's compound final was an all-Mexico showdown, with Bernal defeating compatriot Andrea Becerra in a shoot-off to take the crown.
The 2025 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final was held from Oct. 18 to 19 in Nanjing, featuring 32 top archers from 14 countries and regions, including South Korea, the United States, Brazil, Germany, and China. ■
