KABUL, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police have discovered an amount of ammunition, including 24 anti-personnel mines, over the past three months in eastern Parwan province, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement on Sunday.
The statement said that police will not allow anyone to possess weapons and ammunition illegally.
Since assuming power in August 2021, the Afghan government has seized weapons and ammunition as part of efforts to stabilize the situation in the country. ■
