SINGAPORE, June 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.34 percent or 11.13 points to close at 3268.7.
A total of 1.65 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.42 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.04 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 233 to 162.
The STI index closed up 0.09 percent or 2.8 points to close at 3257.57 on Wednesday.
